* THE 10th annual South Molle Golf Week starts on November 1, with tournaments, special functions and golf clinics held by Charlie Earp, of the Royal Queensland Golf Club and adviser to Greg Norman, and Paul King, of the Redcliffe Golf Club.

South Molle is the only Whitsunday island with a golf course.

Eastwest and South Molle are offering air/land packages for Golf Week, including accommodation, meals, sports and leisure activities, and child minding from $1,543.

* NORTHWEST Airlines is targeting golf lovers with a 15-day golf tour leaving Sydney on January 4.

Father and son sports commentary team, David and Andrew Lord, will host the tour which takes in six rounds of golf on some of the finest layouts, such as Pebble Beach, Spyglass, the Dunes Country Club in Las Vegas, and the Sheraton Makaha Resort and Country Club in Hawaii.

The package includes first class accommodation in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Los Angeles and Waikiki, and costs $4,850 per person (twin-share)or $4,210 for non-golfers.

* TWENTY FOUR of the world's top golfers will be attending the Asahi Glass Four Tours World Championship of Golf in Adelaide from November 7 to 10.

Adelaide's newest luxury hotel, the Hindley Parkroyal, is offering two, three and four-day packages. Four days and three nights cost $385 (twin-share)including breakfast, parking and daily transfers, and entrance tickets to the Royal Adelaide Golf Course.

The same package with a corporate grandstand seat overlooking the 18th green and access to the VIP pavilion is $445.

* MALAYSIA Airlines is offering a series of golf packages which can be bought in conjunction with a return ticket to Kuala Lumpur (currently priced at $1,276 from Sydney).

One seven-night package offers golf at three golf courses, two in Kuala Lumpur and one two hours away at the Rahman Putra course in the Genting Highlands. The package costs from $930 (twin-share).
